Most clinical practices are organized by specialty. A back pain practice. A gut health clinic. A cardiology office. Each sees a fragment of the patient.
We built SMI around a different architecture — five biological systems that, when evaluated together, reveal the full clinical picture. Every patient receives a comprehensive evaluation that maps their health status across all five systems before any protocol is designed.
This is not integrative medicine as a brand. It is integration as a clinical method.
Structural | Functional | Regenerative
Structural care addresses the spine, nervous system, and musculoskeletal framework. Functional medicine addresses the internal environment — gut, metabolism, immunity, cellular chemistry. Regenerative medicine accelerates tissue repair and restores biological resilience.
These three pillars work together inside a single coordinated model. No referrals between siloed practices. No fragmented care.
Dr. Noah Segal, DC founded SMI after more than a decade of clinical practice across multidisciplinary environments — from integrated clinics with in-house MD, PT, and acupuncture departments to private functional medicine practices. His clinical philosophy was shaped by one recurring observation: patients with chronic, complex conditions rarely had a single-system problem. They had a biological systems problem.
SMI is the clinical architecture he built in response.
Dr. Segal earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic and his BS in Biology from The Richard Stockton College of NJ. He holds advanced certifications in shockwave therapy, spinal decompression, functional medicine, and microbiome-based clinical protocols.
